Your AED can be adversely affected by extremes of temperature.
Hot weather (it happens) can seriously
compromise the life of a battery. Cold weather can also severely reduce
battery life and because AED Pads include a
water based gel, there is a real risk of the pads freezing and being
unuseable in an emergency.
Most AED's have a recommended storage temperature of not less that zero
degrees centigrade and you should store your AED in accordance with the
manufacturers
recommendations, the Irish Medicines Board have issued an advisory
note on this which you can see HERE.
This cabinet will protect your AED from even the harshest weather and the lowest temperatures.

an optional audible alarm.

For protection against cold weather, a temperature sensor enables the cabinets heating unit to activate when a minimum threshold of 10ºC is reached.The cabinet protects the AED to temperatures as low as -20 C.

A strong and robust steel cabinet which is powder coated to offer added protection against damage, ensure long
life and protect the appearance of the cabinet.

- Most AED brands will fit very comfortably inside
the cabinet with plenty of space for your face mask, accessories and your monthly
checklist.
- Access. You control the method of access. For placement in staff only areas or behind counters the cabinet can simply be left unlocked. For public areas such as shopping centres Access to the cabinet is by means of a key which is placed in a "Break Glass" unit whicj=h is part of the cabinet.
- Security. Once the cabinet is opened a high pitched alarm sounds
and the strobe light flashes intermittently. This will alert personnel and responders to the emergency.
This cabinet will offer you the peace of mind of knowing your AED is
safe from vandalism or theft but still very accessible in an emergency.
