A Heartsaver AED training course will provide the minimum required knowledge for responding to cardiac emergencies and using a Defibrillator, or AED. The AED is an electronic device which can analyse the heart rhythm of a person in cardiac arrest. It uses voice prompts to take the user through its use and advises if a shock is needed.

The Heartsaver AED course is aimed at companies or community groups who wish to have responders trained to deal with cardiac emergencies at work or in their locality, and to have the confidence to use a defibrillator. The course is also suitable for any individual or group who wish to learn CPR and get a good introduction to a Defibrillator.
